The Feast of the Guardian Angels falls on a Sunday this year, and, of course, it is not on the liturgical calendar. But, it certainly is in my heart. Probably no aspect of Catholic piety is as comforting as knowing that God has given each of us an angel to watch over us, aid our prayers and present our souls to God at our death.
It is important to pray to our guardian angels. We should ask for their help in mundane life experiences like needing a parking space to more serious moments like in times of troubles, temptation or weakness. They will always help, enlighten and protect us. No doubt, we should thank our Heavenly Father for giving us these special protectors out of His goodness.
