A couple of years ago I wrote this post about La Befana. According to Italian tradition, La Befana visits the children of Italy on the eve of the Feast of the Epiphany (January 5) to fill their stockings with candy and presents if they’ve been good or a piece of coal or a stick if they’ve been bad.
